
Competition Summary
The Intl. Pre Med Olympiad is an academic competition for high school students aspiring to careers in medicine. Test knowledge in biology, chemistry, medical ethics, and clinical problem against the top pre-medical students from the world. This is an excellent way to stand out in college and medical school applications with recognition that proves dedication goes beyond the classroom.
Test Structure
The test is designed as a 3-hour comprehensive assessment. It is designed to challenge high school students across the core disciplines of pre-medical education.

Exam Structure:

Biological Sciences (20 questions, 30 minutes) - Cell biology, human anatomy & physiology, genetics, and molecular biology

The Chemistry of Life (25 questions, 40 minutes) - General chemistry, organic chemistry fundamentals, and biochemistry
-
Medical Ethics & Reasoning (20 questions, 45 minutes) - Bioethical dilemmas, patient care scenarios, and healthcare policy
-
Clinical Problem-Solving (10 case-based questions, 30 minutes) - This will be a diagnostic reasoning and will require the use of scientific knowledge in medical scenarios.
Question Types: Multiple choice, case analysis, and short response

Note: This test is designed for high achieving high school students. It is recommended to have an AP level science background (AP Biology, AP Chemistry). This is not required, but can greatly help in the competition.
